SYMPTOMS

The Forms toolbar remains active after you close your HTML form document.

STATUS

This occurs by product design.

WORKAROUND

Manually turn off the Forms toolbar by choosing Toolbars from the View menu, clearing the Forms check box, and choosing OK.

MORE INFORMATION

When you choose Form from the Insert menu while using the HTML template, Word automatically displays the Forms toolbar. This toolbar is active until you manually turn it off.
