The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSYou are unable to access a URL from Internet Assistant, even though you can access the Internet from CompuServe's Internet Forum.
CAUSEYou are using one of CompuServe's proprietary interfaces--CompuServe FTP, Usenet, or Telnet--to access the Internet. (These interfaces are available in the Internet Forum on CompuServe.) These services require the software interface provided by CompuServe and are not compatible with the Internet Assistant for Word for Windows.
RESOLUTIONInstall CompuServe Internet Dialer. This will set up a PPP (point-to-point) dial-up connection that allows you to access the Internet through a local CompuServe phone number. To set up CompuServe Internet Dialer on your system, do the following:
