WD: Table Heading Rows Do Not Show on Following PagesLast reviewed: February 5, 1998Article ID: Q132916 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you have a table that extends over more than one page, and you specify several rows of the table as heading rows, none of them appear on subsequent pages.
CAUSEThis problem occurs in several situations.
Case 1If more than one page of rows are selected as heading rows, then none will act as heading rows.
Case 2If multiple rows are designated as heading rows, and a row not designated as a heading row falls in between the first and last heading row, then anything below this row will not be displayed on subsequent pages.
Case 3If you copy only the rows designated as heading rows to another part of the document or to a new document, and then make the table more than one page, then no rows will act like heading rows.
WORKAROUND
Method 1: Use for Cases 1 and 2Make sure that no more than one page of contiguous rows are designated as heading rows. To do this, follow these steps:
Method 2: Use for Case 3When copying the table headings, include at least one extra row beneath the rows designated as headings. You may still need to apply the steps of method 1.
