Highlight Not Displayed in AutoText Dialog Box

Last reviewed: February 5, 1998
Article ID: Q134902
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word for Windows 95, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS

An AutoText entry that contains highlighted text does not display the highlight in the Selection box. (To locate this option, click AutoText on the Edit menu.) In contrast, other formatting, such as italics, bold, and underline, are displayed in the Selection box. Like the other formatting, highlight is stored in the AutoText entry and it will be displayed when it is inserted into your document.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Word for Windows 95, version 7.0. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
