Format Painter, Highlight Not Available in Macro Window

SYMPTOMS

You can use the Format Painter to copy character formatting from a document window to a macro window. In addition, if you activate the Highlight tool in a document window, you can switch to a macro window and apply highlighting to your text. In contrast, when a macro window is active, you cannot use the Format Painter tool or the Highlight tool. Clicking either button will display the following message in the status bar:

   This command is not available because a macro window is active.
