Trojan Horse Virus Alert Starting Word 6.0.1 with SAM 4.0

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

Each time you start Word on a Power Macintosh, you get the following Trojan horse virus alert: 

   WARNING!!!  SAM has detected a strain of Trojan horse!
   The file containing the infection is Word 6.0.1.

RESOLUTION

Do one of the following:

Method 1

In the Warning dialog box from Sam, click the Stop button, shut down and then restart your computer.

Method 2

In the Warning dialog box, click Run Sam. Sam will run a virus check on Word. You will now be able to start Word without getting the warning.
