Document Loses Formatting When Opened or Pasted to WordPad

SYMPTOMS

When you paste or open a Word 6.x or 7.x document in WordPad, the following formatting will be lost:

   tables
   borders
   shading
   columns
   highlighting

CAUSE

This is a design limitation of WordPad. WordPad does not support complex formatting such as tables, borders, shading, columns, and highlighting.
