"Collate Copies" Not Available with Windows 95 DeskJet Drivers

SYMPTOMS

The Collate Copies option is unavailable (dimmed) when you print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet series 500 printer when you use the printer drivers that ship with Windows 95.

CAUSE

The HP DeskJet series 500 printer drivers that ship with Windows 95 do not include the Collate Copies option. This functionality is different from the HP printer drivers designed for Windows 3.1.

RESOLUTION

Contact HP to obtain an updated printer driver that supports this feature.
