  • Microsoft Word 97 for Windows

SYMPTOMS

When you print a document that contains highlighted text (formatted with the highlighting feature), the highlighted portions may print as solid black on the second and subsequent pages.

This problem can occur when you print to the Hewlett-Packard (HP) 660c printer using the HP DeskJet 550c printer driver that ships with Windows 95.

STATUS

We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

WORKAROUND

Change the following printer driver properties:

  1. Select the "Start Printing After Last Page is Spooled" option (Spool Settings).

  2. Select the Color Graphics Printout option instead of Automatic (Setup).

For more information about how to perform this task in Windows, see your Windows printed documentation or open the Windows Help Topics Index, and see the "printer settings, changing" topic.
