WD: Word Does Not Replace AutoCorrect Entry as Expected

SYMPTOMS

If a nonbreaking space precedes an AutoCorrect entry, when you press the SPACEBAR, Word does not replace that entry with the text or graphic replacement as expected.

WORKAROUND

Insert the nonbreaking space after word replaces the AutoCorrect entry.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Word versions listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Word for Windows 95, version 7.0.
