| The information in this article applies to: 
 
 SYMPTOMSIf you are using Microsoft At Work PC Fax, and you use the Standard Image Quality option to fax a Word document, you receive one of the following results: 
 CAUSEThis problem occurs if either of the following conditions is true: 
 WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use any of the following methods. Method 1: Change the Image Quality setting to Best Available. This option           sends the fax at 300 dpi, the highest resolution available on
          computer-to-computer faxes. To do this, use the following steps:
          a. Start Mail.
          b. Click Options on the Fax menu.
          c. Click Image Quality, select the Best Available option, and
             click OK.
Method 2. Edit the Win.ini using a text editor, such as Notepad, locate the          [Microsoft At Work Fax,Fax] section and disable (comment) all
          lines in this section by typing a semi-colon (;) before each
          line.
