Last reviewed: November 17, 1997
Article ID: Q145119
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Word for Macintosh, versions 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.1a

SYMPTOMS

When you insert a picture in Word 6.x for the Macintosh, there may not be any encapsulated PostScript (.eps) graphics listed in the list box. This problem occurs when the "List Files of Type" list is set to All Graphics Files or EPS.

WORKAROUND

  1. On the Insert menu, click Picture.

  2. Under List Files of Type, click All Files.

The EPS images will now be listed there.

  3. Click to select a listed EPS graphic, and then click Insert.

Word will convert the EPS image and insert it into the document.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
