  • Microsoft Word for Windows 95, version 7.0
  • Microsoft Word for Windows NT, version 6.0

SUMMARY

Internet Assistant uses an undocumented registry entry called ShowTableTags that controls the display of the blue asterisk that you see when you work with tables.

MORE INFORMATION

The ShowTableTags entry is located in the following registry key:

   \Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Word\InternetAssistant

The data (or Dword) values are listed in the following table.

   Value Meaning
   ---------------------------------------------------

0 Do not show any table tags.

1 Show entire hidden HTML table tags.

2 Show the blue asterisk placeholder for hidden HTML tags.
              This is the default setting.

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall Windows 95 or Windows NT. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
