Annotations Renamed Comments. Use this command to insert a comment marker at the insertion point or selection and display the comments pane in which you can enter a comment. Insert Menu
Annotation Renamed Comment. You can insert a comment with this command also. Frame Removed. To insert text boxes, use the Text Box command. To insert pictures, use the commands on the Picture submenu. Form Field Removed. Use the Forms toolbar (View menu, Toolbars submenu) to insert form fields. Format Menu

Picture submenu commands Select the type of drawing object or picture you want to insert. You can now insert a picture from a scanner. Hyperlink Link to any Microsoft Office, HTML, or other file on any internal or external Web site or any file server. Text Box Use text boxes to position text or graphics. Format Menu
Text Direction Change the orientation of text within table cells, text boxes, and AutoShapes. Results are visible only in page layout view. Background Change the background colors andtextures of your document for online viewing. Results are visible only in onlinelayout view and in web browsers. Tools Menu
Language submenu commands Change thesaurus, hyphenation, and language settings. AutoSummarize Create a summary of the document automatically. Look Up Reference Find a selected word or phrase in Bookshelf 97. (This command is available only if Bookshelf is installed.) Save Word File As Allows you to specify a default format in which to save documents, such as Word 6.0/95 or WordPerfect 5.x for Windows. To select or clear this option, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click Save. Macro Virus Protection Turns on or off a warning message that appears whenever you open a document that contains macros. To select or clear this option, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click General. Provide Feedback With Sound Turns on or off sounds for certain actions or events. Provide Feedback with Animation Animates the movement of your mouse; uses special animated cursors in place of the standard static cursors. Allow A4/Letter Paper Resizing Allows you to automatically adjust documents formatted for another country's standard paper size (for example, A4), so they print correctly on your country's standard paper size (for example, Letter). Print PostScript Over Text Prints postscript code in a converted Word for the Macintosh document on top of text instead of underneath it. For example, use this option if your converted document contains a watermark. Allow Background Saves Saves documents in the background so that you can continue working while Word saves your document. Check Grammar As You Type Automatically checks grammar in the background, as you type. |
