To use the data file in Word, first convert it from WordPerfect 6.x format to WordPerfect 5.x format. The WordPerfect 5.x converter correctly converts valid WordPerfect secondary files into a valid format for a Word mail merge data document. NOTE: The DOS WordPerfect 5.x converter is not installed by the Office or Word 98 Macintosh Edition Setup program. If you installed Office 98 or Word 98 Macintosh Edition from a compact disc, the DOS WordPerfect (WordPerfect 5.x) converter is located in the ValuPack\Text Converters folder of the CD. To use this converter, copy it from the ValuPack to the following folder on your hard disk:
