WD97: Can't Resize Text Box, Drawing Object in Header, Footer

SYMPTOMS

If you hide the document text using the Show/Hide Document Text button on the Header And Footer toolbar, you may be unable to resize a text box or drawing object in the header or footer. When you move the mouse pointer over any of the sizing handles, the mouse pointer does not change to the resize pointer.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, click the Show/Hide Document Text button on the Header And Footer toolbar to display the document text and then resize the text box or drawing object.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 97 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
