SYMPTOMSYou cannot use the CTRL+ALT+F8 key combination in the Customize Keyboard dialog box. (To locate this dialog box, on the Tools menu, click Customize.)
CAUSEThe key combination CRTL+ALT+F8 is reserved for initiating keyboard programming on programmable keyboards, such as the Gateway 2000 programmable keyboard.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use the appropriate method: Method 1: Use a different key combination. Method 2: Use a non-programmable keyboard.
