SYMPTOMSWhen you click the Send Fax Now button on the Fax Wizard toolbar, you receive the following message after the Wizard starts faxing your document:
The wizard has finished sending your document.This message implies that your document has been faxed successfully; however, the fax process is not finished at this point.
CAUSEWhen you click the Send Fax Now button, Word sends the document to your fax program. The fax program is responsible for rendering, delivering, and confirming that the fax is transmitted.
RESOLUTIONTo complete the fax process, send the fax using your fax program. For additional information, refer to your fax program documentation.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 97 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
