Using Send From Word to PowerPoint Doesn't Work with OLE

SYMPTOMS

OLE objects and normal text from a Word 97 document are missing in a PowerPoint presentation when you use the Sent To PowerPoint command from the File menu. Only text formatted with a Heading style is retained in PowerPoint. All other text and objects are lost.

CAUSE

This is by design in Microsoft PowerPoint 97 for Windows.

WORKAROUND

Copy the information from Word and paste it to your PowerPoint presentation.
