WD97: Word Stops Responding in Preview Via Web Page Wizard

SYMPTOMS

When you create a Web page in Microsoft Word 97 using the Web Page Wizard and then click Web Page Preview to view the Web page in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Word may stop responding.

NOTE: This is an intermittent problem.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, install Microsoft Word 97 Service Release 1 (SR- 1).

To work around this problem, close and reopen the Web page in Microsoft Word 97 before previewing the Web page in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 97 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Word 97 SR-1.
