SYMPTOMSWhen you print a document with color borders, some colors may be missing, or the border may print as black and white.
WORKAROUNDChanging the dithering setting may improve the print quality of some printers. NOTE: The method for changing the dithering setting varies with the operating system and the version of the printer driver that you are using. In Microsoft Windows 95, follow these steps to change the dithering setting:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 97 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
