WD97: Unexpected Results When Clicking Between Text Form Fields

SYMPTOMS

When you click a text form field, one of the following problems may occur:

  • An Entry or Exit macro may not run.

    -or-

  • A form field of type Calculation may not update.

CAUSE

This problem only occurs when the text form field contains text, a number, or spaces, and you use the mouse to move the insertion point between form fields.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, instead of using the mouse, press TAB to move the insertion point between form fields.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
