SYMPTOMSWhen you create a new document based on Html.dot the following run-time error may occur:
Run time error 438 "Object doesn't support this property."If you click the Edit or Debug button, the Visual Basic for Applications editor will appear and you insertion point is placed on the following line of code:
WordBasic.call HTMLNew CAUSEYou are using the Html.dot that shipped with Internet Assistant for use with Microsoft Word 6.x or 7.0 for Windows.
RESOLUTIONYou need to install the updated Html.dot file included with Web Page Authoring features. To install the Web Page Authoring (HTML) features, follow these steps:
MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Word 97 has build-in Web publishing features that replace the functionality of the Internet Assistant. Internet Assistant is not needed with Microsoft Word 97.
