The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you print a selection from Word, all pages of the printed document will include the header and/or footer from the first selected section; that is, the different headers and/or footers will be substituted with the header/footer from the first selected section. This problem occurs if the selection contains more then one section and each section has a different header and/or footer. NOTE: This problem occurs regardless of the type of printer you are using.
WORKAROUNDRather than printing a selection, specify the parts of sections that you want to print. To do this, follow these steps:
Word 97 for Windows
Word 98 Macintosh Edition
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
