SYMPTOMSWhen you move the mouse pointer over a comment in a Word document, the comment does not show.
CAUSEBalloon Help on the Macintosh is turned on.
WORKAROUNDOn the Help menu, click Hide Balloons.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATIONYou can use Balloon Help to learn more about items on your screen. To use Balloon Help, click Show Balloons on the Help menu. Then point with the pointer to items on the screen to see help balloons about them. For more information about comments, click the Office Assistant, type "add a comment," click Search, click the topic "Ways to add comments and keep track of changes," and then click to view "Make comments." NOTE: If the Assistant is hidden, click the Office Assistant button on the Standard toolbar.
