MORE INFORMATION

To toggle the Tip of the Day to show or not show when Word is started, follow these steps:

  1. Start the Office Assistant.

           - If the Office Assistant is not visible, click the Office

             Assistant.

NOTE: If the Assistant is hidden, click the Office Assistant
button on the Standard toolbar. If Word Help is not installed
on your computer, please see the following article in the
                Microsoft Knowledge Base:

                   ARTICLE-ID: Q120802
TITLE : Office: How to Add/Remove a Single Office
                               Program or Component

           - If the Office Assistant is visible, but the Office Assistant
balloon is not, hold down CTRL (Windows) or CONTROL (Macintosh)
             and click the Office Assistant.

  2. Click Options and then click the Options tab.

  3. Under Other Tip Options, click to toggle on (check) or off (no check) "Show the Tip of the Day at startup."

  4. Click OK.

Once Microsoft Word starts with the Tip of the Day showing, you must click Close on the Tip of the Day balloon to turn this feature off. Note, however, that you can work on your document while the Tip of the Day balloon is showing.
