SYMPTOMSWhen you use Word to edit an HTML document in Microsoft Word, the background may not be displayed. This problem occurs when all of the following are true:
CAUSEWhen you save the Web page locally from Word, Word saves the background image with a different name than the original background image. The new background image name is saved in the HTML code of the local document.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, follow these steps:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
