SYMPTOMSAuto macros in Word may not run when you use Direct Mail Manager to create a mail merge.
CAUSEThis functionality is by design. Certain auto macros will be ignored when Direct Mail Manager uses Word to perform specific functions.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen you perform the following tasks in Direct Mail Manager, certain Word auto macros will be ignored.
Importing Word Document Address ListAuto macros will not run when importing the address list from Word.
Creating a Form LetterAutoClose and AutoExit macros will run in Word when creating a form letter when using the Simple Form Letter.dot template from Direct Mail Manager.
Creating a PostcardAutoNew, AutoClose, and AutoExit will run in Word when creating a postcard when using the Postcard Wizard.wiz template from Direct Mail Manager.
Creating a LetterAutoNew, AutoClose, and AutoExit macros will run in Word when creating a letter when using the Letter Wizard.wiz template from Direct Mail Manager.
