WD98: Clicking Finish in Memo Wizard Causes Word to Quit

SYMPTOMS

When you click Finish in the Agenda or Memo Wizard dialog box, Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition quits unexpectedly.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the following conditions are true:

  • You complete the steps in the Wizard without soliciting help from the Office Assistant. 

        -and-
  • You are running Word on an Apple Power Macintosh G3.

NOTE: This problem has also been reported to occur on the following Power Macintosh clone:
  • Umax S900

WORKAROUND

To work around the problem, click the Office Assistant, and then click to view "Help with this feature" before clicking Finish in the Wizard dialog box.
