SUMMARYMicrosoft Word for the Macintosh versions 5.0 and later provide single elements of the date to create customized date formats. The date formats that are supplied with Word versions 3.0x and 4.0 were limited and could not be customized.
MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Word versions 5.0 and later have a much wider variety of standard date formats in its Standard Glossary. In addition, Word version 5.0 also has single elements of the date, so date elements can be combined to create a custom date format. For example, the international date format appears as "1 January 1992" instead of "January 1, 1992", the standard date format used in the U.S. The international date format does not appear in the Standard Glossary. To create a new glossary item for the international date format, do the following:
