SUMMARYIn Microsoft Word for Windows, when formatting text for color and printing to a non-color printer, the printed results may vary somewhat depending on the printer you have selected in the File Printer Setup command. On some printers, such as the Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet, your text always prints regardless of the color assigned to the text, with the exception of white. On other non-color printers, such as the Epson FX-85, certain colors may print while others may not. For example, using the Epson 9-pin driver on the Epson FX-85 printer, text that is formatted black, green, red, or yellow prints, while text that is formatted blue, cyan, magenta, or white does not print. The results when printing to non-color printers are dependent upon the Windows printer driver being used. Some drivers may interpret the colors differently than others, so text formatted with certain colors may not print.
