Word for Windows Cannot Use Mouse to Record Macro

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word for Windows, text selection and/or document navagation must be done with the keyboard when using the Macro Record command in the Tools menu. The mouse may be used for menu and toolbar selections.

Word for Windows macros must use absolute positioning of the insertion point, not relative positioning. For example, the insertion point must be commanded to move four words left and two lines up.
