Reformatting Framed Text with Style Removes Frame

SUMMARY

If you reformat framed text with a style (even its original style) in versions 2.x and 6.0 of Microsoft Word for Windows, Word strips the framed properties of the text and reformats it accordingly.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Select a portion of text.

  2. From the Insert menu, choose Frame.

  3. Select any portion of the text.

  4. Apply a style to the text by pressing CTRL+S (CTRL+SHIFT+S in Word for Windows 6.0) and typing the style name.

Word removes the framed properties when you apply the style.
