No Summary Info Prompt When Saving as WinWord 1.x Format

SUMMARY

Microsoft Word for Windows version 2.0 does not prompt for summary information if you are save a new document in Word for Windows 1.x format.

MORE INFORMATION

The Prompt for Summary Info option is activated by default when you install Word for Windows 2.0. You are not prompted to enter summary information when you save files to any format other than the Word for Windows version 2.0 Normal format.

To activate the Prompt for Summary Info option in Word for Windows 2.0, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Options.

  2. From the Category box, select Save, and select the Prompt for Summary Info check box. Choose the OK button.

    -or-

  3. From the File menu, choose Save As.

  4. Choose the Options button, and select the Prompt for Summary Info option. Choose the OK button.
