SUMMARYMicrosoft Word must be installed from within Microsoft Windows.
Word 6.0Microsoft Word 6.0 for Windows must be installed from within Windows 3.1. If you attempt to install Word for Windows from a MS-DOS prompt you receive the following message:
Use File-Run from Program Manager to start Microsoft Setup Word 2.xMicrosoft Word 2.x for Windows must be installed from the Windows version 3.0 or 3.1. If you attempt to install Word for Windows from the MS-DOS prompt, you receive the following error message:
