WD: Cannot Use Edit Repeat Table Formatting with Ruler

SYMPTOMS

When using the ruler mode and a mouse to format a table in Microsoft Word for Windows, The Repeat Table Formatting command is not available on the Edit menu.

Resizing the cells with the cursor has this same effect (no repeat).

WORKAROUND

To resize the table cells, use the Cell Height and Width command (Column Width command in Word versions 1.x-2.x) on the Table menu.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Word listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
