The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Word for Windows, if you choose Find from the Edit menu to search for a Microsoft Draw file, the status bar reads "Double click to Edit Microsoft Drawing" until you choose the Cancel button. Choosing the Cancel button causes this message to disappear even though the graphic remains selected.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. We are researching this problem, and will post more information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATIONIf a Microsoft Draw graphic is highlighted, the status bar should display this message. If you select the graphic a second time, the message reappears.
Steps to Reproduce Problem
Note: Double-clicking the drawing opens Microsoft Draw for editing the graphic.
