SYMPTOMSWhen using the \h switch in the SYMBOL field in Microsoft Word for Windows, the result of the field appears truncated on the screen; however, it does print correctly.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Steps to Reproduce Problem
MORE INFORMATIONThe \h switch controls the line spacing of the SYMBOL field. The \h switch tells Word for Windows to ignore the font size specified by the \s switch. In the above example, the "symbol 169" indicates a heart symbol in 22-point Symbol font. The \h switch tells Word for Windows not to adjust the line spacing to account for the 22-point heart symbol.
