SUMMARYIn Microsoft Word for Windows, the File Sharing button in the Save As dialog box is unavailable if the name in the User Info category of the Tools Options command is different from the Author name stored in the file's Summary Info dialog box.
MORE INFORMATIONIf you choose the File Sharing button in the Save As dialog box, you can protect a file with a password and lock or unlock the file for annotations. No one except the author of the document can lock or unlock a document for annotations, or create or change a password for that document. Word compares the Author field found in the Summary Info dialog box with the Name field found in the User Info category of the Options dialog box to determine if the current user is the author of the document. User Name is case-sensitive. If the case of the names do not match, File Sharing button will remain unavailable.
