WD: Subscription to EPS Graphic Prints Low Quality ImageLast reviewed: November 17, 1997Article ID: Q84608 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, subscriptions to graphics published from Adobe FreeHand 3.1, 4.0 and Adobe Illustrator 3.2 may not print a high quality image. It is possible the graphic will display correctly but appear jagged or bitmapped when printed from Word. In addition, EPSF files published from Claris' MacDraw Pro do not contain PostScript information and will appear jagged when printed from a Word subscription.
CAUSEThis may be caused by the format in which the graphic was created. In Illustrator, publishing as picture (PICT) and Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) is designed for use with Adobe products only. In FreeHand, the EPS option is designed for use with Adobe products only. Using these options to publish to Word can cause the printing problems described above.
