SUMMARY

The Super VGA video driver that ships with Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1 causes a display problem in one of the tutorial lessons for versions 2.0 and 2.0a of Microsoft Word for Windows.

MORE INFORMATION

If you are using the Super VGA video driver while running the Word for Windows Learning Word Editing tutorial lesson titled Glossaries, the menu choice displayed on the fourth screen of that lesson does not display correctly.

Workaround

To view this screen properly, use the standard VGA video driver that ships with Windows 3.1. For information on installing video drivers, see Chapter 15 of the "Microsoft Windows User's Guide."

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. From the Help menu, choose Learning Word.

  2. Press M for mouse, or K for keyboard.

  3. Choose the Editing icon.

  4. In the Practices section, choose Glossaries.

  5. Choose the Right Arrow button five times to display the fourth screen of the lesson. On this screen, which displays the Edit menu, the Glossary menu choice is not visible.
