SUMMARYIn Microsoft Word for Windows, Smart Quote characters are recognized as word delimiters by the quick keys used to go to, select, or delete the next or previous word. These quick keys are as follows:
CTRL+LEFT ARROW Go to previous word CTRL+RIGHT ARROW Go to next word CTRL+SHIFT+LEFT ARROW Select previous word CTRL+SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW Select next word CTRL+BACKSPACE Delete previous word CTRL+DEL Delete next wordBecause the above quick keys recognize enabled Smart Quotes as delimiters, the keys do not correctly select, delete, or reposition on the entire word containing them.
