Word does not have enough memory for large clipboard.

This may happen when you use certain 24-bit color video drivers (32,000 or 16 million colors) at any resolution, such as VGA, Super VGA, or 1024 x 768. To clear the error message, choose the OK button.

Workaround

To avoid this problem, switch to another video driver that supports 16 or 256 colors. Microsoft recommends that you use the standard VGA video driver supplied with Windows version 3.1. Other video drivers you can switch to include 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 VGA; limit the number of colors to 16 or 256.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in versions 2.0, 2.0a, 2.0a-CD, 2.0b, and 2.0c of Word for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
