The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn page layout view, if a document is formatted for two or more newspaper- style columns and a new paragraph that is formatted for .3 to .9 line spacing before begins at the top of the second or succeeding page of columnar text, the first line of all columns (except the first column) appear clipped. However, the text is printed correctly.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
