SUMMARY

The MS LineDraw TrueType font available with Application Note GC0651 ["MS LineDraw (TrueType) Font"] does not support ASCII characters whose decimal value is less than 32.

There is a shareware TrueType font called Video Terminal Screen, which is available on CompuServe, and which supports the entire ASCII character set, including ASCII characters whose value is less than 32, when the shareware product is registered. The Video Terminal Screen font is available for downloading in Library 9 of the DTPFORUM forum, in file VTS-T.ZIP.

MORE INFORMATION

The MS LineDraw font is useful for applying to pasted or converted ASCII text from MS-DOS-based applications; however, it only supports ASCII characters whose values are between 32 and 255.

To download the Video Terminal Screen font, please follow the instructions provided with the software you use to connect to CompuServe. You should choose to download the VTS-T.ZIP file as a binary file.

The Video Terminal Screen font is also available in Abode PostScript Type 1 format and can be downloaded in file VTS-P.ZIP from the same location.
