GP Fault or System Hangs If ToolsOptionsSave Macro Is Edited

SYMPTOMS

If you add any lines to the ToolsOptionsSave macro command, a general protection (GP) fault (or GPF) may occur in Word for Windows or your computer may hang (stop responding) when you use the File Save or File Save As commands.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Word for Windows listed above. This problem was corrected in Word version 6.0 for Windows.
