The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSMicrosoft Word for the Macintosh version 6.0 and later converts text that has been formatted as side-by-side paragraphs in earlier versions of Word for the Macintosh into a table with the "Allow Row to Break Across Pages" option turned on. (To locate this option, choose Cell Height And Width from the Table menu, and select the Row tab.)
CAUSEWord versions 6.0 and later convert side-by-side paragraphs in earlier versions of Word into a table. The "Allow Row to Break Across Pages" option is on by default.
WORKAROUNDTo layout of the page from the previous version, turn off the Allow Row to Break Across Pages option. To do this, follow these steps:
