SYMPTOMSAfter you install Windows 95, you may see the following error message on a blue screen when you restart your computer:
Invalid VxD dynamic link call from IOS(03) +00000B5D to device "Pagefile", service 7. Your Windows configuration is invalid, run the windows Setup program again to correct this problem. To continue to run Windows, press Y or ENTER. To quit the current program, press N. If you continue running Windows, your system may become unstable. Do you want to continue? CAUSEThis problem can occur if SoftRam version 1.03 is installed on your computer. SoftRam 1.03 is incompatible with Windows 95.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, use either of the following methods:
MORE INFORMATIONNote that this problem can also occur if you install SoftRam95 in Windows 3.x and then upgrade your computer to Windows 95. To work around this problem, follow the steps in the "Resolution" section of this article, finish installing Windows 95, and then reinstall SoftRam95. SoftRam is a software tool designed to double the amount of RAM available to Windows. The third-party product discussed in this article is manufactured by a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.
