This glossary contains terms and acronynms of interest to Windows NT® kernel-mode driver writers. It does not attempt to define terms of interest to Win32® user-mode driver writers.
For brevity, this glossary uses the term “NT” as an adjective to mean “kernel-mode” or “microkernel” and as a noun to mean the system kernel-mode components, collectively, of Windows NT.
