Manage Auto Tests

ODBC Test cannot automatically recognize which DLLs on your system are auto tests. For this reason, you must install an auto test before you can include it in a test group or run it.

To install an auto test

1. In ODBC Test, from the Tools menu, click Manage Auto Tests. ODBC Test displays the Manage Auto Tests dialog box.
   
   
2. The Available list shows all DLLs in the \Bin\Odbc directory. To install auto tests from a different directory, click From and select that directory.
   
   
3. Select the auto test to install from the Available list and click Add. ODBC Test displays the name of the auto test.
   
   
4. Click Close.

Note   If you rebuild an auto test, you do not need to reinstall it. Replace the old auto-test DLL with the new auto-test DLL while ODBC Test is not running.

You can also remove auto tests with the Manage Auto Tests dialog box.
